The march of the movie stars to TV continues apace, though this timer it’s an actress heading behind the small screen camera, not in front of it.

Jennifer Lopez has struck a deal with US cable channel FX (AKA the people who make The Shield and Nip/Tuck) to co-produce a half-hour comedy show called Echo Park.

Named for the LA neighbourhood it’ll target, Park will take a look at the yuppies, Latinos and hipster types who inhabit the trendy locale.

And that’s not all J.Lo has cooking in TV land – she’s also producing Moves, an MTV reality show which tracks six amateur hoofers trying to make it as dancers. MTV has so far ordered eight episodes, and Lopez will actually show up on screen to judge /mock /help the newcomers.
