Comedy thriller Salvation Boulevard is grabbing a few more cast members, with Jennifer Connelly and Greg Kinnear signed up and Marisa Tomei considering one of the roles.
The film, which Joshua’s George Ratliff is directing, already enticed Pierce Brosnan, Ed Harris and comedian Jim Gaffigan into its ranks for a plot that sees a former Grateful Dead follower on the run from the wackier members of the mega church.
Why turns out, he’s making like difficult for the charismatic preacher that runs the place (we’d figured Brosnan for that role, but now we figure Kinnear’s a more likely preacher).
It all starts shooting next month, with protests from the American reliigious groups starting up 30 seconds after the cameras first roll.
