Fargo show-runner Noah Hawley and some of his new TV series' cast including Dan Stevens and Katie Aselton brought a chunk of footage from new, X-Men adjacent drama Legion to New York's Comic-Con. While no teaser was put online, there was an announcement, with Hawley revealing that Flight Of The Conchords veteran Jemaine Clement has a recurring role in the show.

Hawley is overseeing the show, which despite sharing comic book DNA with the 20th Century Fox mutant movies, has no plans to offer crossover with them, taking place in a parallel universe. Legion, adapted from the character first introduced in Marvel's New Mutants in 1985, focuses on David Haller (Stevens). Long dealing with mental illness, he’s been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years until a strange encounter with another patient leads him to think that maybe the voices and strange visions he experiences might be more real than he or anyone else thought. You can get a small taste of the show below.

Aubrey Plaza, Jean Smart, Rachel Keller and Bill Irwin are also in the series, which Hawley hoped would feel both like a 1964 Terrence Stamp movie and Pink Floyd's The Dark Side Of The Moon.

There was no news about an air date yet, but Legion will be hitting FX in the US and Fox here next year.
