Jason Statham’s back on the job in the Mechanic: Resurrection trailer

Mechanic: Resurrection

After seeing him send up his tough nut reputation in Spy, it's almost chucklesome to see Jason Statham back in growly, serious mood for the sequel to 2011's The Mechanic. Having ditched the "The", Mechanic: Resurrection finds Statham's Arthur Bishop reluctantly back in the hitman world and forced to help someone out. Check out the trailer below.

German director Dennis Gansel takes over shot-calling duties for this one, with the seemingly retired Bishop forced back into doing what he does best – offing people while making it look like an accident – when nefarious forces kidnap the woman he loves (Jessica Alba).

So yes... expect Statham doing what he does best (kicking, punching, shooting, exploding things, killing people, grimacing) and, in a twist, helping one of his targets (Tommy Lee Jones, rocking earrings and a soul patch, which is probably why he's marked for death) fake his own assassination.
