With less than a year left on his second presidential term, there has already been one film chronicling Barack Obama's younger days. A second, called Barry, is about to start shooting, and has just added Straight Outta Compton's Jason Mitchell and Boyhood's Ellar Coltrane to its cast.

Director Vikram Gandhi has Devon Terrell aboard to play Obama with The Witch's Anya Taylor-Joy cast in an unspecified role. The script, written by Go The F--k To Sleep author Adam Mansbach apparently isn't, despite his comedy pedigree, an out-and-out laugh-fest, but will follow the 18-year-old Barack as he deals with college student life in New York.

It follows Southside With You, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and charted Obama's first date with the woman who would become his wife, Michelle Robinson.

Mitchell, who played Eazy-E in Compton, will be seen in Keanu and has been working on Kong: Skull Island. Coltrane has shot tech thriller The Circle alongside Emma Watson and Tom Hanks.
