Director Anthony Maras is busy setting up based-on-truth drama Hotel Mumbai and already has the likes of Dev Patel, Armie Hammer and Nazanin Boniadi aboard. He's just added Jason Isaacs to the cast list.

Maras and co-writer John Collee have based their script on 2009 documentary Surviving Mumbai, itself a chronicle of the horrific terrorist attack on the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in India in 2008.

For more than 68 hours, hundreds of people were held hostage by Islamic militant attackers and gunfire soon rang out as the building also began to blaze.

164 people died and at least 308 were injured, though the heroic efforts of a few ensured that many more were saved.

Isaacs has drama The Investigator due on the 16th of this month and will also be seen in horror thriller A Cure For Wellness and Armando Iannucci's next film, The Death Of Stalin.
