Mass

Gun violence continues to tear apart families, particularly in America, and it's always a painful subject to deal with in films. Mass, directed by Fran Kranz, has been generating plenty of notice for its intimate feel and performances from the likes of Jason Isaacs, Martha Plimpton, Reed Birney and Ann Dowd. Watch the first trailer...

Written and directed by Kranz (better known for his work in front of the camera in the likes of The Cabin In The Woods and Dollhouse), Mass looks at a complicated way parents try to heal after unimaginable loss. Years after an unspeakable tragedy tore their lives apart, two sets of parents (Birney and Dowd, Isaacs and Plimpton), agree to talk privately in an attempt to move forward. Tensions, naturally, run high.
