Jason Bateman

After the problematic, scheduling-hit fourth season, the idea of more Arrested Development is something that has inspired both hope and fear. But with luck, lessons have been learned and after lots of promises, it appears that the Bluths may finally reunite to shoot this summer, as Jason Bateman has shared via social media that he's now properly on board.

The fourth season seemed to be tee-ing up a potential film which has still yet to materialise, so perhaps those stories will be the fuel for the new series. Executive producer Brian Grazer has been the main cheerleader for a next season, previously dropping hints that he was working with the team on 17 new episodes, but we'll have to see how many they're actually able to make given a cast with very busy schedules.

Season four, of course, arrived on Netflix in 2013, and we've had to wait this long, so fingers crossed it all actually comes together and creator Mitch Hurwitz has come up with something great.
