Want to feel old? This year marks 21 years since Requiem For A Dream came out. And, as if to celebrate that fact, writer/director Darren Aronofsky and star Jared Leto are looking to reunite for a creepy new film called Adrift.

The film will be based on a short story by Koji Suzuki, who wrote the novel that spawned The Ring. Aronofsky and Luke Dawson are writing the script, with the idea coming from Leto and producing partner Emma Ludbrook, who chased the rights for 10 years. The story is set in the dead calm of the open sea, where a fishing boat discovers an abandoned yacht with a strange distress call. A deckhand agrees to take lone control of it while it’s towed into port, but soon he discovers why the rest of his more experienced crew members call it a "Ghost Ship."

Studios and streaming services are already circling to make a deal for the film, which will have to wait until Aronofsky finishes work on The Whale, announced earlier this month.
