How do you follow a film like Spring Breakers? If you’re Harmony Korine, you secure the services of two Oscar winners and lay the groundwork for a new revenge thriller. He now has Jamie Foxx and Benicio Del Toro lined up to star in **The Trap.

According to Variety, Foxx and Del Toro are attached to star in the movie. It's a crime thriller focusing on two childhood friends who are now in their late 30s. One is very successful, while the other ended up in the slammer. When the latter is released, he goes on a quest to get even.

Korine wrote and will direct early next year in Miami and calls it his “most ambitious film to date.” Though it could be edging him closer to more mainstream filmmaking, you can be fairly certain it’ll still have the Korine stamp of weirdness all over it.

Foxx will next show up in comedy sequel Horrible Bosses 2, due on November 28m followed by musical remake Annie on December 26 (which just launched a new trailer). Del Toro has several films on the way including animated tale** The Little Prince**, one of Terrence Malick’s new untitled films and cartel drama Sicario.
