Back in January, 300: Rise Of An Empire’s Noam Murro signed on to direct Blink, which promises to be a tricky thriller script with challenging central roles. Jamie Foxx has made a deal for one of the leads.

Hernany Perla’s script follows what happens when a man is left paralysed after a famous and still-unsolved bank robbery. When criminals kidnap him and hold him hostage, determined to pry the secrets of the incident out of his head, he’s forced to outwit his captors. The twist is that he can only control his eyes, and he’s got to figure out the big mystery of the heist.

He’s helped by a caregiver (Foxx) who initially seems to have our hero’s best interests at heart but secretly has his own agenda. Is he trying to hoard hospital jelly? It’s probably more sinister than that.

Foxx, who was last seen singing and dancing in Annie, has various films in development, including a Mike Tyson biopic, a film about Martin Luther King Jr. and action thriller Sleepless Night.
