Jaime Pressley has joined the cast of I Love You, Man, John Hamburg’s romantic comedy (with a twist) about a groom (the awesome Paul Rudd) who embarks on a search to find a Best Man, winding up with a complete stranger doing the deed (the slightly less awesome Jason Segel).

Pressley will play the best friend of Rudd’s fiancée, played by Rashida Jones. Which is fine by us – Pressley has been hilarious now for nigh on three seasons in My Name Is Earl, and it’s about time she got to transfer that to the screen that is big. (She’s made a string of movies, but all have been filed under either ‘urgh’ or ‘meh’).

Curiously, Pressley is the third major cast member in the movie to be plucked from American sitcoms – Jones made her name on the US version of The Office, while Segel - who's about to break out with Forgetting Sarah Marshall - is still starring in How I Met Your Mother. Only Rudd can be considered a movie actor, and even then he had that extended run in Friends.

But we like them all, and we’ve got high hopes for this.
