According to reports in the Daily Telegraph, Mick Jagger is expanding his film empire. One of his upcoming projects is a movie about Che Guevara - a role that Jagger has apparently earmarked for Antonio Banderas, who last played Che opposite Madonna in Evita. Empire Online caught up with Banderas this weekend and asked him whether Mick had been in touch about the role. 'I heard about this four years ago,' Antonio told us. So has he spoken to Jagger? 'No. At that time I was going to meet him in Los Angeles and I couldn't. What I understand is that it's about the last week of Che Guevara's life in the mountains of Bolivia, right before he was killed. It's interesting, but I don't know... I should read the script first.' Right now, Antonio's dance card is full. At the moment he's shooting Femme Fatale with Rebecca Romijn-Stamos in Paris. 'The genius of Brian de Palma,' Antonio told us, 'is that he's one of those who repeat themselves who go over the same issues. My character is very similar character to John Travolta in Blow Out. It's a guy trapped by circumstances, and the circumstances in this occasion is a woman.' As for the actor's strike - he even has that covered. 'Actually I think I'm going to act in a movie that they're going to waive - it's not being financed by the United States. We're going to be shooting in Canada. It's called Johnny Stompanato with Wayne Wang.'
