Here's one more name for the rumoured cast of **Star Wars: Episode VII. AICN's Harry Knowles says he's heard from "two different sources" that Jack Reynor is now in the frame for an unspecified role.

Reynor is is the Irish actor who supplied an impressive lead in 2012's What Richard Did, and caught the eye of Michael Bay in the process. That led to his scoring the part of Shane in Transformers: Age Of Extinction, the start of a new trilogy in which Reynor is contracted for all three instalments.

Rebel? Empire? Sith? There's no more information about what might be in store for him in J.J. Abrams' take on the galaxy far, far away. And there's also the question of, if he really is in the running, would he actually want his next decade to be entirely consumed by two behemoth sci-fi franchises? But, to use Yoda syntax, turn down Star Wars one presumably does not...

Reynor is currently filming Gerard Barrett's human trafficking drama Glassland, with Toni Collette and Will Poulter. There are no release dates for that one yet.
