While she's been doing big things on TV, Issa Rae has also been making her mark on movies. She won't be seen on screen for a new film, but she'll be heard, as she's lending her voice to Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman in the sequel to Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse.
Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson are on to direct the movie, which has a script from producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller alongside Dave Callaham.
The actual story for the new movie is wrapped in secretive webs for now, but it'll feature more spider-verse adventures, with Shameik Moore and Hailee Steinfeld confirmed to return so far as Miles Morales and Gwen Stacey. Our fingers are crossed for more visually arresting animation and appearances from different Spider-folk.
Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse 2 is due out on 7 October, 2022.
