In a move that further amps up one of the best comic book casts ever (well, along with Iron Man), Tim Blake Nelson has joined the cast of The Incredible Hulk. That means that he'll be alongside Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth and William Hurt in the film from Transporter director Louis Leterrier

Nelson's character is a scientist called Samuel Sterns, aka The Leader (although there's no word yet on whether he will turn into The Leader in the film). But even that much is a slight change from comic-book lore. As true believers will remember, in the comics Sterns was a menial worker in a chemical factory when an accident involving those pesky gamma rays turned him into the green skinned and (unlike ol' Hulk himself) super-intelligent evildoer with an oversized noggin.

Given that Tim Roth has already been cast as Emil Blonsky / The Abomination (not to be confused with Hairspray's delightful Nikki Blonsky), this may mean that there's going to be two bad guys (almost always a bad sign in a comic book movie) or it may mean that Blake Nelson will be set up for a possible sequel in the course of this storyline. Either way, it looks like anyone whose name is "Hulk" should tread carefully around anyone whose name is "Tim".
