Huston Joins Wolverine!

And is there word on Silver Fox?

Huston Joins Wolverine!

Another day, another piece of adamantium-tinted news. After months of rumours that Michael C. Hall would play the young William Stryker in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (which surely they're just going to start calling Wolverine again soon, because really!) word has emerged that it may be Danny Huston who'll be donning the hobnailed boots and cable-knit sweaters popularised by Brian Cox's take on the role.

Huston's apparently already on set in New Zealand preparing for the role - and both location and comic book subject matter would be something of a return to familiar ground for him, since he previously worked there on 30 Days Of Night.

Even more intriguing are two other rumours on Coming Soon.net : that there have been on-set tests of a ginormous fat suit for the character The Blob - originally a 500lb man in the comics, now being tested at 800lbs and 1200lbs. While this particular fat baddie had been in earlier drafts of the script, it wasn't clear if he was still there - but his sheer squashy mass makes him a large target for Wolverine at least.

And then there's the report that the role of Silver Fox has gone to neither Maggie Q nor Michelle Monaghan but Lynn Collins, a Texan actress who you might but probably won't remember as Mark Ruffalo's fiancee in 13 Going on 30. Or as Portia in the Al Pacino Merchant of Venice, or in multiple roles in The Number 23. Since Silver Fox is Native American (or rather Canadian) in the comics, Collins doesn't exactly look the part in the pictures we've seen, but perhaps she will by the time they're done - or possibly the character's backstory will be changed.

So good news on Huston, who's somewhat closer to Cox in type than Hall was. But what do y'all think about the Blob as a potential baddie, and Collins as a potential Silver Fox?
