This time Butler is brilliantly-named American submarine Commander Joe Glass, dispatched to rescue the Russian president when a rogue minister attempts a coup and threatens to wage war. Can he make his way into enemy territory and stop the threat before missiles start flying? The film’s trailer has arrived, and you can watch it right here.
Based on the novel Firing Point by George Wallace and Don Keith, Hunter Killer’s cast also boasts the likes of Gary Oldman, Toby Stephens, Common, Linda Cardellini, and Michael Nyqvist in one of his final screen performances. The film will cruise into UK cinemas on 19 October.
