No, Hugh Jackman is not in talks to star in a film version of TV's Bad Education – they already made that. Nor is this a remake of Pedro Almodovar's 2004 drama (thank goodness). This is an entirely new film, which the recent Empire Award winner is now considering as his next gig.

Not much is known about the film, aside from the fact that I Think We're Alone Now writer Mike Makowsky has crafted the scripted, based on true events he experienced while in school. According to Variety, it has the feel of something along the lines of Election.

Cory Finley, whose Thoroughbreds is due next week, will be in the director's chair, and La La Land's Fred Berger is among the producers. Jackman will return to our screens in Jason Reitman's political bio-drama The Front Runner, which should see cinemas this year.
