After landing a role in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Zendaya is adding another potentially high profile film to her CV: she's now finalising a deal to appear alongside Hugh Jackman in The Greatest Showman.

The movie musical will see Jackman as P.T. Barnum, the man who went from the variety club circuit to founding the famous Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. The film already has Michelle Williams aboard to play Jenny Lind, who Barnum falls for, and Zac Efron as his right hand man. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Zendaya will be a trapeze artist who wins Efron's heart.

Michael Gracey is directing the film, with Michael Arndt at work on the current draft of the script. The songs for this one are by Justin Paul and Benj Pasek, who worked on US TV drama Smash and have contributed to musicals adapted from A Christmas Story and James And The Giant Peach.

As mentioned above, Zendaya is playing a lead role opposite Tom Holland in Spider-Man: Homecoming, which is shooting now and will be out in the UK on July 7 next year.
