Twinkly charm alert! Anthony Hopkins is reuniting with James Ivory for a fourth collaboration.

This latest is an adaptation of Peter Cameron’s novel The City Of Your Final Destination, which sees an Iranian graduate student living in Kansas (Omar Metwally) who travels to Uruguay to ask permission to write the authorised biography of his idol, Latin American author Jules Gund.

Trouble is, Gund’s dead and the caretakers of his estate – his widow (Laura Linney), his mistress (Charlotte Gainsbourg) and his brother (Hopkins) have no intention of anyone writing the book. But Omar’s arrival starts all three questioning their life at Gund’s crumbling, sprawling house – setting in motion events which will change them all forever. It says here.

Ivory’s regular scriptwriting collaborator Ruth Prawer Jhabvala has written the adaptation, which starts shooting in the US and Argentina later this month.
