Ron Shelton pictches new baseball flick

Ron Shelton knows his sports films. The former baseball player is responsible for Bull Durham, White Men Can’t Jump and Tin Cup.

So it comes as no surprise that Morgan Creek would snatch up his spec script Our Lady Of The Ballpark, which he penned with Tin Cup scribe John Norville.

The baseball-themed film will revolve around an arrogant, slump-suffering New York Yankees pitcher who tries to save his career by playing in the corrupt Mexican Baseball League.

Shelton will call the shots this autumn, and is busily looking for a cast.
