Remake trailer online

The first full trailer for The Grudge remake is online now, and frankly no lily-livered journalist should be subjected to such creepy thrills first thing in the morning. Directed by Japan's Takashi Shimizu (adapting his own Grudge series) this American-friendly version stars Sarah Michelle Gellar as Karen, an American nurse working in Japan who is exposed to a supernatural virus which causes a powerful rage in victims before killing them and moving on to the next person. Very little of that is apparent from this trailer, which focuses more on small scary children staring at people and appearing unexpectedly behind panes of glass. Fans of the shower scene in Psycho will be thrilled to see things going horribly wrong in the bathroom, while the rest of the trailer features flashing glimpses of some evil ghost children seriously in need of a wash and blow dry and a good session on the tanning beds. The whole thing looks like the secret lovechild of The Ring and The Exorcist - check out the little girl making her way downstairs
