Hellraiser Remake Gets Writers

ShockTillYouDrop is reporting that the imminent Hellraiser remake – now called Clive Barker Presents: Hellraiser – has found its writers in Marcus Dunston and Patrick Melton.

Dunston and Melton are best known for writing the fourth and fifth installments in the Saw franchise. That makes them pretty well suited to penning this, but suggests it might be a bit more gory than the 1987 original, which was already somewhat gross.

Hellraiser is the story of a man who solves a puzzle that opens the doorway to Hell. He's taken their by a distinctly unattractive group called the Cenobites, who want to keep him in their world of pain, until his ex-lover finds a way to bring him back. So begins a story of murder, the occult and over-enthusiastic facial piercings.
