As we all do our best to battle the Coronavirus by staying at home, the lockdown stretches on. And we're all increasingly in need of some distraction. Team Empire already has its own suggestions and filmmaker Guillermo del Toro has kicked off an epic twitter thread that features a load of his cine-pals letting us know what they're reading, watching and listening to as they avoid climbing the walls.

Del Toro's idea was to focus on what is keeping them all inspired as they wait out the various stay at home orders, and for them to offer suggestions to fans and followers, while keeping chatter about their own work to a minimum. Among those who contributed to the thread were Edgar Wright, Ava DuVernay, James Mangold and Brad Bird.

Some are talking about discovering new movies, shows and books they've never gotten to, others are indulging in comfort food entertainment. You're sure to find something that perks your interest – and you're invited to throw in your own suggestions too.
