Clooney gets tetchy in Berlin

Given his reputation as one of the nicest stars in Hollywood, we were surprised to hear that the unusually affable George Clooney was pushed over teh edge in Berlin this weekend. Clooney, who was previewing Solaris for the city's film festival, unleashed his anger on a particularly rude film critic who had the gall to tell him the film was boring. 'You crack me up, man,' George snapped at the journalist. You just wanted to get up and be a rat, you know that? You just wanted to get up and say something rotten. What a jerk! I mean honestly, you know, what a shitty thing to say!' 'You make a lot of films, do you?' George went on to say. 'You make a lot of films yourself? Yeah, I'd like to see you make a film first before you get to talk about it. What a jerk!' Clooney has got a few days to chill out before facing the British press in London later this week, as he publicises both Solaris and his directorial debut Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Let's just hope the British press are somewhat better behaved than their Teutonic counterparts.
