Earlier this week we reported that Sony had moved the release date of their Seth Rogen Green Hornet extravaganza back to December 17th 2010, and mused that, with Yogi Bear their only competiton that weekend, they might well be rubbing their hands.
According to Variety however, they may have cause to get nervous after all, since Disney have chosen to launch Tron Legacy on the same weekend. Shooting on the sequel / reboot has finished, and lengthy FX post-production now begins.
Release dates are fluid, obviously, and someone may back down. Sony may want to shift Hornet's date again, as we imagine they'll also want to move The Smurfs to avoid Warners' Yogi.
But assuming Jeff Bridges and Garrett Hedlund and Seth Rogen and Jay Chou are going head to head next Christmas, which will you be queueing for first?
