Give it up people, you're too late. Cease cinching the buckles on your gimp suit and take that leather cod-piece off before you do yourself a mischief. The love interest for Jennifer Garner in Elektra has been cast and we're sorry to say that you ain't it. Goran Visnjic, the dapper doctor who increases the incidence of hypochondria among Chicago's female population each week on ER, will step in to sweep Garner off her feet now that Ben Affleck's character is well and truly out of the picture - the sex-slave look did nothing for that man's pulling power. Visnjic steps in to fill the Daredevil-shaped void, playing a man targeted for assassination by The Hand - a deadly group of ninjas for whom Elektra carries out assignments. As often seems to happen in these situations, the sultry assassin is won over by the old Croatian charm and, rather than offing her mark, cops off with him instead. This incurs the wrath of her employers and sets the scene for a God almighty rumpus where Garner gets to slay henchmen with abandon, rather than just impaling sand-bags like she did in the previous film. An explanation as to why Empire's application for the role went unnoticed is said to be forthcoming.
