David Strathairn is going from Good Night, And Good Luck to some seriously bad luck.

He’s signed on to McG’s untitled drama about the true-life tragedy of Marshall University’s American football team, who were killed in a plane crash in 1970. Strathairn will play the university’s president, who is profoundly affected by the loss of the team.

Matthew McConaughey and Lost’s Matthew Fox are already on board.
