Golden Globes 2019: Green Book And Bohemian Rhapsody Triumph In The Film Category

Green Book – Exclusive

Despite the likes of Roma and A star Is Born appearing to be the heavy favourites going into the Golden Globes, it was Green Book and Bohemian Rhapsody that enjoyed a surprisingly good night at Sunday night's ceremony, nabbing three (comedy/musical, Best Supporting Actor for the excellent Mahershala Ali and the screenplay written by director Peter Farrelly, Brian Currie and Nick Vallelonga, and two awards (Drama and drama actor for Rami Malek) respectively. With the Hollywood Foreign Press Association largely staying true to its quirky, celeb-focused style, Glenn Close took home the drama actress award for The Wife, while The Favourite made do with just one, Olivia Colman picking up the musical or comedy actress category.

Also going home with trophies were the likes of If Beale Street Could Talk's deserving Regina King and Roma's Alfonso Cuaron, who also saw his film pick up the foreign language film while A Star Is Born had to make do with winning Best Song. Check out the full list of winners below, and find the lucky few nabbing awards from the world of TV right here.
