Just Like Heaven director Mark Waters must be hoping that the current trend for musicals hold up. He’s working on Bob The Musical, which sees an average bloke get the power to hear people’s inner thoughts in song after a blow to the head.
Marc Shaiman, who so memorably helped to write the South Park musical songs, has agreed to pen the songs. Upside Of Anger writer-director Mike Bender has written the rest of the script.
"Once I read the script, I felt I had to do it," Shaiman has said. "I wouldn't have been able to live with myself if someone else did it. It's a very sweet valentine to musicals, but it sends them up at the same time."
