Get Some Therapy

Liar Liar director, Tom Shadyac's latest project is writing and producing a new romantic comedy based on a novel from first-time writer, Linda Nichols. While You Were Out is the story of a woman who's therapist hires a contractor to renovate his office as the doc recovers from a massive coronary. The woman unwittingly pours out her innermost secrets to the builder, who can't get a word in to tell her he's a nail-pounder not a head-shrinker. He soon takes to his psychiatric task though, and falls head over heels with the woman. A director for the project has not yet been found, but it's possible that Shadyac will take the reins himself if he bonds with the script. The director and producer of the forthcoming Robin Williams film, Patch Adams, Shadyac has also directed such hits as The Nutty Professor and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.
