Georgia Rule For Lohan

Hands up who you would want as a mentor. Nelson Mandela? Alan Sugar? David bloomin’ Beckham? Chances are Jane Fonda wouldn’t exactly be high on the list, unless you’re a fan.

But that’s who Lindsay Lohan will have for a guiding light in Georgia Rule. She’s attached to play a rebellious girl who just can’t stop fighting with her exhausted mother (Felicity Huffman, who really should be more used to cranky kids considering the brood she corrals weekly on Desperate Housewives). Mum’s solution? Pack her darling daughter off to stay with her grandmother (Fonda), in the hopes that granny will impart some homely wisdom and change the teenage frog into a mature, centred woman. Either that or kick some sense into her.

Garry Marshall (Pretty Woman, The Princess Diaries) is the man responsible – he’s writing, directing and producing and according to producer James G. Robinson, “There couldn't be a better director for this movie.” Brown noser!
