In 1967, before he was the king of Star Wars, a film student called George Lucas made a short film called Electronic Labyrinth - aka THX 1138:4EB. And now you can see it online, at www.atomfilms.com A nightmare vision of a future where people are known only by a four digit number, and their lives are constantly watched over by an evil 'Big Brother', Lucas remade the film as a feature in 1970 with Robert Duvall in the lead.
