While it’s the studio best known for currently producing a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles CG-toon movie for Warners and The Weinstein Company, Imagi is also gearing up to make a big screen adaptation of Japanese anime series Gatchaman.

Originally a comic that became one of the first printed adventures to make the leap as anime TV in the 1970s, Gatchaman features five superheroes known as the International Space Organisation, who fought an evil enemy named Galactor. We bet he cackled a lot.

Meanwhile, Turtles fans can start getting excited. The studios plan to show a teaser for the new film at this year’s Comic Con. Heroes in a half-shell! Turtle power!

Ahem.
