Gary Oldman, who made it onto the above list, has said in an interview that he has "lost the fire" for acting. In an interview for the BBC programme Hardtalk, Oldman said, "I haven't acted for a year since Lost in Space and I'm not chomping at the bit to get back to it." He went on to criticise a number of his recent films, including Lost in Space ("not my cup of tea"), Air Force One ("it lacked realism") and Nil By Mouth, which he said was flawed. His goal as an actor, he said, is "to be satisfied, but maybe we can't have that so that is what keeps driving me."
