Any remaining uncertainty over the ending of Daredevil can now be dispelled because Jennifer Garner's sai-wielding heroine has been officially confirmed for a spin-off film, Elektra. The surprisingly limber and extremely deadly love of Daredevil's life will, perhaps, finally earn her comic name, Elektra Assassin, in a story set after the events of the Daredevil film. No plot details have been released and the screenplay is not yet written but with a mine of rich comic stories to draw upon - including a turn towards the wrong side of the law as the Kingpin's chief assassin and infiltration of a Japanese assassination brotherhood - you can rest assured that a plethora of arses will undoubtedly be kicked. That and another chance to see the Alias star in a tight-fitting leather costume should guarantee more than a fair share of bums on seats for this spin-off.
