It's almost time. Game of Thrones is rumbling towards The Battle Of The Bastards episode, its biggest clash of arms since Stannis and Ramsay's little dust-up in season five. In advance of the episode – airing on Monday – HBO has dropped some sneak peeks at what's in store. Feast your eyes on these new images and prepare for a battle that promises to be one of the most impressive yet.
Of course, Game Of Thrones like to tease us with just the right amount of intrigue, so who's to say Jon Snow (Kit Harington) is quite as doomed as he looks here, but the scale of the clash is impressively captured via that aerial shot. Also on display here are a typically morose Ser Davos (Liam Cunningham), Sansa (Sophie Turner) looking quietly determined and Tormund Giantsbane (Kristofer Hivju) in all his war-torn glory. Not to mention giant Wun Weg Wun Dar Wun, who’s looking unlikely to play the voice of reason in the unfolding carnage.
