While his role as cocky, skilled sellsword Bronn in Game Of Thrones has all but banished chatter about his Robson and Jerome warbling days, Jerome Flynn's term with the hugely popular fantasy series is about to come and end with the series wrapping up in a few weeks. He's already tracked down a new job, though, telling the Mirror that he'll be part of the new Dark Tower TV series.

While there has been no official announcement about his joining the show, other pieces of casting have already been reported, with word that Sam Strike and Jasper Pääkköne are aboard the Stephen King adaptation, which hails from Amazon.

The show, from former Walking Dead producer Glen Mazzara, aims to turn back the clock to explore Gunslinger Roland Deschain's (Strike) origin story, taking place years before what we saw in the movie as it chronicles his first conflict with the Man in Black, his first love and his first mission.

Flynn's role has yet to be detailed, but apparently he'll be strapping on some six-guns. "I’ve always said I’d like to play a cowboy – and now one has come along. I’m excited for that." Amazon has handed out a pilot order for the series, so we'll have to wait and see if it makes it to screens. Game Of Thrones, meanwhile, continues each Sunday night in the US and early Monday morning/evening in the UK, and you can find our latest review here.
