Gael Garcia Bernal, star of Y Tu Mama Tambien and Bad Education, is directing his first film.
He’s calling the shots on an untitled, low-budget film that’s adapted from an episode of a TV show called Ruta 32 which his company Canana has been developing for Mexican networks. Kyzza Terrazas has written the script.
"It has been quite an organic experience to start directing," Garcia Bernal told The Hollywood Reporter. "I'm discovering a new world."
