Gabrielle Union has worked with producer Will Packer on several films already in her career, and has been moving towards working more as a producer herself as well as an actor. They'll team up again for a new drama, called Breaking In.
V For Vendetta/Survivor director James McTeigue is on board to make the movie, with the script coming from Ryan Eagle. The original pitch cam from Jaime Primak Sullivan, who cooked up the concept of a woman who must fight against all odds to protect her family when home invaders strike. So not exactly an original idea, then, but the challenge will be finding a new way to use it.
Union was last seen alongside Jamie Foxx in Sleepless and continues to star in US TV series Being Mary Jane. Next up on her film schedule is indie drama The Public. Packer, meanwhile, has a lot of projects in development, plus comedy Girls Trip due here on 28 July and the new version of Jacob's Ladder making its way through post-production.
