In the ancient days (you know, before The Avengers), superheroes preferred to work alone, dispensing justice in their own unique styles and settling for the praise or brickbats that would come their way. But now everything has changed. Batman is fighting and then becoming friends with Superman (who knew the name Martha could be so unifying?), Spider-Man is hanging out with Iron Man, the Justice League is gearing up for their first adventure, and Thor is getting a little help from Doctor Strange before going all Ragnarok with the Hulk. So much the norm have superhero team-ups become, that it's about to hit the small screen in a major way as well.

The superhero crossover event teased since last summer is finally arriving with "Invasion," the four-part story that kicks off at the tale end of Supergirl and continues over to The Flash, Arrow, and DC's Legends Of Tomorrow. And now a full-length trailer has been issued to herald the adventure, definitely conveying a scope that feels more like a feature film than multiple television episodes as it shows a wide variety of heroes coming together to save Earth from the invasion of The Dominators.

And, hey, if that's not enough, later in the season we're going to get a musical crossover between The Flash and Supergirl, which likely won't bring with it the same sort of mayhem, though there are no guarantees.

"Invasion" kicks off 28 November in the US and will hit Sky1 in the UK in the near future.
