It seems like only two months ago that someone was planning a reboot of The Fugitive. That might be because it was, with new short-form app Quibi hiring Kiefer Sutherland to star in a new take on the tale. That isn't deterring Warner Bros., which is moving forward with a new movie and Albert Hughes is in the director's chair.

According to Deadline, this will also represent a new spin on the story, which originated with the 1963 TV series and went even bigger via the 1993 cinematic version starring Harrison Ford as Dr. Richard Kimble. He's accused of murdering his wife and is hellbent on finding the one-armed man who actually did it and with whom Kimble struggled after the killing. Tommy Lee Jones co-starred as US Marshal Samuel Gerard, who was dedicated to tracking him down.

Hughes, who last made 2018's Alpha, has a few films in the works, and has also worked on Showtime series Th Good Lord Bird.
