Flipper helmer Alan Shapiro will direct the indie family comedy Frank, which will star Darrell Hammond and Missi Pyle.
The Frank of the title is an abandoned dog who ends up taking over the lives of a family on holiday on a secluded island. Hammond – best known for the likes of Scary Movie 3 and New York Minute, will play the husband, while Pyle (aka Charlie And The Chocolate Factory’s Mrs Beauregarde) is the wife.
