He’s getting ready to shoot** The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist** (assuming it doesn’t opt for a shorter name before release), and James Wan is busy building up the cast around returning veterans Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. Frances O’Connor is the latest addition to the line-up{ =nofollow}.

Aside from the fact that the film sees paranormal investigators Lorraine (Farmiga) and Ed Warren (Wilson) heading to the wilds of, er, Greater London to investigate another case of a haunting involving a family, not much has been revealed about the plot. But now we know O’Connor is playing the mother of a girl being troubled by terrifying spooks and in need of some help.

Wan is looking to repeat the success of the 2013 hit (and its 2014 prequel Annabelle), flying to shoot some locations in the UK, but shooting the majority of the movie in Burbank. He had input on the script by Chad and Carey Hayes, before handing it off for extra work by David Leslie Johnson. It’ll kick off production later this month.

O’Connor has most recently been working on TV in shows such as Mr. Selfridge, Once Upon A Time and The Missing.
