Frances O'Connor, the star of Mansfield Park and the BBC's Madame Bovary, has been signed to play the female lead in Steven Spielberg's A.I. O'Connor, who recently finished the remake of Bedazzled with Brendan Fraser and Liz Hurley, joins Jude Law and Haley Joel Osment in the sci-fi tale. The script was written by the late Stanley Kubrick and tells the story of a boy robot who wants to be human. According to Ain't It Cool News, O'Connor was cast without even auditioning, after Spielberg saw some of her earlier work. She told the Sydney Morning Herald, "I can't believe it. I haven't had time to process anything. Life's moving pretty fast at the moment." Filming on A.I starts in Long Island in July.
