Emilio Estevez, 80s heartthrob-turned-director, is writing and directing Bobby, a passion project about the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy in 1968. Today, he's confirmed that Sharon Ston, Nick Cannon and Freddy Rodriguez will be joining the cast, which already includes Anthony Hopkins, Demi Moore and Elijah Wood.

The ensemble drama follows 22 people around the Ambassador Hotel where he was killed, mixing fact and fiction about the assassination. Stone will play a woman working in the hotel's beauty salon, who is married to the hotel manager. Cannon will play a Youth For Kennedy volunteer, while Rodriguez plays a busboy. Wood, meanwhile, is desperately trying to change his draft classification for Vietnam by marrying a girl. Estevez himself also has a role, but hasn't revealed what that is as yet.

There are ten more roles to be filled before shooting, but it's taken Estevez over four years to get that far, despite the fact that the budget is under $10 million. The film will start to shoot in the Ambassador Hotel itself in two and a half weeks.
