Foster And Sutherland Join Mechanic

You may remember a little while ago when Jason "The Transporter" Statham signed up for **The Mechanic. Well, now he has some company on the Simon West film, with Donald Sutherland* and Ben Foster signed on to join him.

The Stath will be playing a retired hitman who just wants a quiet life when a young man comes to him and demands to learn the tricks of the trade (we're guessing that's Foster). Sutherland will apparently play Foster's father and Statham's handler, which is confusing us somewhat: the previous summary of the film suggested that the apprentice's father had been killed by Stath's Mechanic. Surely all will become clear anon.

Shooting starts in New Orleans and Shreveport, Louisiana, in the next few weeks, so we're hoping it'll all become clear by then.

Some confusion: Variety says Donald but put up a picture of Keifer. We're trusting the written word until proven wrong.
