Oscar-nominated director of The Green Mile, Frank Darabont, is in negotiations with New Line Cinema to develop a remake of 50s sci-fi classic Forbidden Planet. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Darabont is in talks with the studio to come aboard as producer/director on the project.
