Given recent international events, a comedy about aid workers in a conflict zone would appear to be a tricky prospect. And yet if this first glimpse is anything to go by, Tim Robbins, Benicio del Toro, Olga Kurylenko and director Fernando León de Aranoa have nailed it with A Perfect Day. Check out the trailer and see if you agree.

The film finds Robbins, del Toro and their team in the Balkans. The farcical plot involves the various hindrances they encounter while attempting to purify a water supply by removing a corpse from a well.

The Spanish de Aranoa (Los Lunes Al Sol, Princesas) makes his English-language debut with the film, which he also wrote. It was shot in his home country and will be in theatres there on April 28. There are no other release dates for the rest of the world so far, but deals are currently being done at the European Film Market in Berlin.
